ABOUT MAMA MAVEL

SHE LEARNED TO PLAY.

I WAS NOT A GAMER.

Watch me learn to play video games. I played Super Mario Brothers twice–as a 5th grader at the neighbor’s house–before I entered the world of video games with my  son. Much to my surprise, I discovered these games could bring us closer and be a source of connection instead of creating conflict.

Biggest surprise? I've learned to love them myself! Video games are teaching me to play, make mistakes, learn and have fun. You can find me showing off my mediocre gaming (mostly Minecraft) skills on several times a week.
